Before
I started riding my bike, I had little to no energy. At that point in
my life, my idea of activity was going from my couch to the kitchen
for a snack. I could not actively play with my children: I could only
watch them run, climb and play. I was missing out on their lives and
I was missing out on my life!
I
have more energy than I know what to do with. Cleaning the house is
no longer a physical chore; I can even climb the stairs without losing
my breath or breaking out into a sweat. I am able to play with my children
and encourage them to have an active lifestyle (the two oldest already
have road bikes). My life is no longer passing me by as I sit on the
couch. I am participating in my family’s lives; I am a better
role model for them; and I feel FANTASTIC!! • AFPA

I never in a million years ever thought I would become so active before
I found that first bike. The first day out on my bike was so hard. I
was only able to go a few blocks and I was drenched with perspiration,
red in the face and exhausted – even in January! I only could
hope that each day I went out it would get a little easier. I hoped
that I would be able to last longer and someday get faster. I had to
dig deep to find the will to go out on the scheduled days by myself.
I did not have anyone to ride with, only the post support from my family.
YOUR experience can be so much more enjoyable from day one. I will be
at YOUR side; I will acknowledge the difficulty and I will cheer and
inspire YOU to continue. Come ride with me and I am positive that YOU
will feel differently about exercise; YOU will be able to envision all
that YOU can be physically and together we will achieve YOUR fitness
goals.
